Perioperative Nursing

Hire Filipino Theatre Nurses

Surgical capacity keeps growing across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, from JCI-accredited hospital groups to Vision 2030 surgical suites and day surgery centres, and experienced theatre staff are the constraint. We recruit theatre nurses directly from the Philippines, screen their scrub and scout experience before you see a profile, and handle the visas, paperwork, and Philippine clearances through to arrival, one point of contact throughout. Candidates never pay a fee at any stage.

The role

Theatre experience we screen for

Scrub and scout are different positions. A general surgery nurse is not automatically right for a cardiac list. For theatre nurses, also called operating room (OR) nurses, every profile states the positions worked, whether scrub nurse or scout, the specialties covered, and the case volume. We only shortlist nurses whose theatre background matches your list.

Every candidate holds a PRC nursing licence and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing taught in English, verified through DataFlow. Typically they bring two or more years in theatre. For ward, ICU, or paediatric roles, see our registered nurses, ICU nurses, and paediatric nurses pages.

Licensing by market

UAE: DHA, DOH, or MOH UAE

The UAE licenses through three separate authorities: DHA in Dubai, DOH in Abu Dhabi, and MOH UAE across Sharjah and the Northern Emirates. A licence from one does not transfer to another. Theatre nurses register as general nurses, with perioperative experience assessed separately. Tell us your Emirate and we confirm the pathway before sourcing.

Saudi Arabia: SCFHS and DataFlow

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classifies and licenses every nurse in Saudi Arabia. The sequence is DataFlow, SCFHS classification, then the Prometric exam, which can be sat in the Philippines before departure. Classification sets the grade and salary banding, and specialist experience feeds into it. Where available, we present classification documentation with the shortlist.

Qatar: QCHP

Every nurse in Qatar needs a licence from the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP). The steps: DataFlow, exam, registration. One QCHP licence covers every setting, public and private, from Hamad Medical Corporation and Sidra Medicine to private hospitals. That keeps staffing simple to plan.

Singapore: SNB

Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) is employer-sponsored: the hiring institution applies using the nurse’s PRC-verified credentials. No pre-departure licensing examination blocks the pathway, which keeps Singapore timelines among the most predictable we run. Hospitals, nursing homes, and licensed home care providers hire directly.

Why BW Medical Staffing

Why employers hire Filipino theatre nurses

Scrub and scout on every profile

You see each nurse’s positions, specialties, and case volume. Your theatre manager knows what they are reviewing before the interview.

English at the table

Counts, instrument requests, and surgeon communication run in English. Filipino nurses train in English throughout, so the theatre team is understood from the first list.

PRC credentials accepted in every market

DHA, DOH, MOH UAE, SCFHS, and QCHP all accept the PRC nursing licence through DataFlow. Perioperative experience is reviewed separately.

Specialty matched before interview

Every profile lists the surgical specialties the nurse has actually worked, so a specialty-heavy list is matched at shortlist, not discovered at interview.

Questions

Employer Questions

Filipino theatre nurses hold a PRC nursing licence from the Professional Regulation Commission's Board of Nursing and documented perioperative nursing experience, typically in scrub and circulating roles across general surgery, orthopaedics, or specialist surgical units. UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar licensing authorities verify the PRC licence through DataFlow and assess perioperative nursing competency separately. BW Medical Staffing screens for the PRC licence, theatre experience documentation, and surgical specialisms before presenting any candidate profile.

The scrub nurse is sterile at the table, handling instruments and maintaining the sterile field. The scout, or circulating nurse, manages the room: supplies, counts, documentation, and patient checks. Many experienced Filipino theatre nurses work both positions. Tell us which your rota needs and we screen for it.

General surgery is the most common background, followed by orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, ENT, and cardiac. Every profile lists the specialties the nurse has actually worked. If your list is specialty-heavy, cardiac theatre for example, say so at brief stage and we screen for that background specifically.

Confirmed brief to shortlist is typically 3 to 5 weeks, and brief to arrival 3 to 4 months. DataFlow primary source verification runs 4 to 8 weeks; the UAE authority examinations (DHA, DOH, or MOH UAE) about 8 to 12 weeks; SCFHS 10 to 16 weeks including classification; and QCHP 8 to 12 weeks. Candidates who already hold completed DataFlow move fastest, and we prioritise them for urgent briefs. Singapore runs on employer-sponsored SNB registration with no pre-departure licensing examination, and brief to arrival is typically 2 to 4 months.
